The House of Dereon collection isn't the end of Beyonce and Tina Knowles' attempt at fashion design. Beyonce's alter ego Sasha is launching her fall junior apparel label 'Sasha Fierce' for the House of Dereon brand. Just in time for back to school, the line will include sportswear, shoes, accessories, jeans with mesh and lace details and subdued "staple" pieces like a one-shoulder dress. I'm not looking forward to seeing girls on their way to school looking like:
They're expecting this attempt at fall fashion to be just as much of a success as Beyonce's tour... Really? I mean you cant knock the hustle. However, strictly based upon the House of Dereon Collection, this is a line I could do without.

The recession monster rears its ugly head, and by no means has it spared the fashion industry. It ain’t all good. The long-awaited NY Fashion Week scaled back, failing to meet fashion lovers’ expectations. And it isn’t ‘business as usual’ for Neiman Marcus, as the luxury retailer is rumored to offer mid-priced merchandise. But the big names in fashion are still putting up a fight, focusing on individuality and innovation. Some designers have skipped out on extravagant creations in place of quiet colors and minimalism, making it easier for penny-pinching fashionistas to achieve a look that’s fresh off the runways without breaking the bank.
Many have even succumbed to high-end fashion at a low-end cost. If you haven’t yet heard the news that everyone’s favorite bargain merchant H&M will soon be selling Jimmy Choo’s, you’ve clearly been hiding under a rock! There’s no telling when the recession will loosen its grip on the fashion world, but only the strong will survive.

The bustier is a versatile garment that every woman should own. Ok, well maybe not every woman. (If you don't have a trace of a waist, a bustier is not gonna create one for you. Everything ain't for everybody, folks! So ladies, use your better judgment!) Lucky for us, the bustier isn't just for the boudoir anymore. So now we have the license to be just a little slutty in public. If worn properly as an outer garment, you won't have to avoid those street corners....
First things first, buy a bustier in your size. If your bustier is too small (i.e. you wear a C-cup and your bustier is a B-cup) don't even bother! But if it fits you, you're already off to a good start! Now that that's out the way.... Pair an understated bustier with your favorite denim during the day. For a night out on the town, throw on a sick necklace and some funky jewels. You can even don your bustier underneath a suit or tailored jacket.
Balance is key! But don't be afraid to get creative. If your bustier speaks loudly enough for itself (sequins, bold pattern --highly unlikely), turn down the volume with a solid-colored skirt or slacks. If you got it, flaunt it, right?! But if you don't want to flaunt too much, layer a cardigan or shrug on top of your bustier for a bit more modesty. Regard the bustier like a camisole or bandeau, and you'll be good to go!

Love this look! It’s so sleek, so chic and absolutely appropriate for the weather right now! However, the most important reason why I like this look is because anyone can recreate it. Dimensions will most definitely change, along with hemlines and inseams, but not only can we make it work, we can make it fierce!Isaac Mizrahi is known for his love of color and for introducing Target consumers to affordable luxury. Unfortunately, you cannot buy this look at Target, but you can recreate it! As you know I’m all about the lush and luxurious but not the ridiculous and overpriced. The pants in this look alone are $700! Remember, fashion is about influence and inspiration! So my luv’s, the next time you find a look you love, use it as an inspiration to create a look of your own!

After a grueling series of work weeks or a seemingly endless semester, a vacation doesn’t seem like a bad idea. Tropics, anyone? Eh, I guess I can settle for a weekend suite at the Fontainebleau. But no matter where you decide to go, just remember that you don’t have to fly first class to travel in style....
For starters, the carry-on will be your most trusted companion on your vacation getaway and your main fashion accessory. Keep all of your favorite things within reach in a colorful Louis Vuitton classic or Betsey’s Sweetheart. And don’t forget your Blackberry, iPod, your coolest sunnies, B+C Magazine, bottled water, and a book or two to read on the plane and poolside.
Every day is a fashion show, and the world is your runway. Even at the airport! Your look should be SIMPLE, but chic nonetheless. Besides, you never know who you might bump into. Maybe Mr. Right or your Mr. Right Now....
Ladies, no need to pull out the Giuseppe Zanotti pumps until after you reach your destination. Instead, go for a classic Chuck Taylor (which looks good with everything) or closed-toe ballet flats. Walk on the wild side with Michael Kors or go en pointe with Alexander McQueen.
Comfort is key. But not to be confused, sweatpants are a big no-no in and out of the airport (I didn't make the rules). Opt for leggings or skinny jeans with a hint of stretch. Be sure to layer a simple tank or tunic with a cardigan, boyfriend blazer, or lightweight trench coat so that you don't freeze your ass off on the plane. Add a cozy pashmina for good measure. It can double as a headrest or blanket when you get cold.
Wear light makeup. Use a tinted moisturizer like Laura Mercier's in place of foundation and a little Mac lipgloss. (If you suffer from dry skin, ditch the moisturizer.) Highlight your eyes with some waterproof mascara. In addition to a travel-size makeup kit, bring along some travel-size skincare products. For oily skin, use blotting cloths and toners. For dry to normal skin types, a light moisturizer and hydrating mist will do the trick.
Happy Travels!

Ok...so...literally, I just saw this picture and the damn thing stopped me dead in my tracks. My eyes and this picture equals a head on collision! Now I know summer is here and for many of us east coasters that may be hard to realize with all this friggin rain but, nonetheless its here. I don't know about you girls but, lately I've been looking for the perfect pair of shorts. However, being lush, I've run into some hurdles. Yet, I'LL BE DAMNED IF I SETTLED FOR ANYTHING!
Could it be love at first sight…??? What can I say –I’m a sucka for architectural heels! Too bad we can only be distant lovers. Whoever said ‘money is no object’ is a liar!!!

2. Nicholas Kirkwood, $824
3. Yves Saint Laurent, $2,204.19

Can you believe that we are just moments away from summer? I’m so damn anxious I don’t know what to do, I’m dying to be on someone’s beach right now (shout out to all my west coast B+C Luv’s)! However, being a fashion guru and a proud lush diva, I notice many many fashion mistakes that people make during this beautiful season, especially my fellow Lush ladies!
That being said, if you are one of the following please do not, I REPEAT, do not purchase a single maxi dress unless you will for certain have it altered!
